Flex-Air P.I. Unit Stationary Model
The Flex Air P.I. Unit is designed to provide HEPA filtered air to mice that are being temporarily housed in a principal investigator’s lab, quarantine, post surgery, or other areas outside the main animal housing rooms. The P.I. Unit holds the patented Flex-Air cages used with the Flex-Air Positive/Negative Ventilated System.
These mini-racks can sit on a table top within the P.I.’s study area, or will fit on a utility cart to transport mice quickly between the animal housing and study areas.
This single model will operate either positive to provide isolation; or negative to provide containment. Negative models are suitable for temporarily housing mice under quarantine. The units meet full compliance with NIH Guidelines for animal space and improved visibility.
Deliver 30 - 40 AC/H per cage.
Each P.I. Unit comes with its own set of Flex-Air Udel® polysulfone cages, wire bar lids, 16 oz. reduced height water bottles and cage cardholders.
The entire unit and caging are autoclavable with the exception of the air handler and hose.
Optional battery back-up is available using a UPS (Universal Power Supply). Various size models are available commercially.
