Press Brake Operator

Alternative Design Manufacturing, a growing metal fabrication company located in Siloam Springs, AR since 1987, is seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to join our team! Applicant must have 3 + years of experience or the equivalent of experience and education in sheet metal press brake operation, strong skills in mechanics, and familiar with all phases of metal fabrication. Qualified applicants must be able to read blueprints and be detail-oriented.  These positions require the ability to reason and make decisions, and basic math and computer skills are a plus.

Controller

The Controller position is accountable for the financial operations of the company to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results, and ensure the results comply with generally accepted accounting principles and compliance with required tax filings. This position directs financial activities, such as planning, procurement, and investments the organization.

 

Essential Functions Statement(s): include the following. 

  • Work well with all company personnel, maintain a team atmosphere, and offer help to others.
  • Maintain a professional attitude, using spoken communication, even in a situation where customers or co-workers are not. This includes but not limited to foul or aggressive language. 
  • Prepare and file annual tax returns or prepare financial information so that outside accountants can complete tax returns.
  • Prepare or direct preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets, and/or reports required by regulatory agencies.
  • Supervise employees performing financial reporting, accounting, billing, collections, payroll, and budgeting duties.
  • Delegate authority for the receipt, disbursement, banking, protection, and custody of funds, securities, and financial instruments.
  • Work with HR to develop and maintain accurate and timely Payroll and Benefits administration processes.
  • Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards.
  • Conduct or coordinate audits of company accounts and financial transactions to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements and statutes.
  • Receive and record requests for disbursements and authorize disbursements in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Monitor financial activities and details such as reserve levels to ensure that all legal and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of accounting and other financial staff; recommend and implement personnel actions such as promotions and dismissals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with banking, insurance, and non-organizational accounting personnel to facilitate financial activities.
  • Coordinate and direct the financial planning, budgeting, procurement, or investment activities of all or part of the organization.
  • Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting.
  • Analyze the financial details of past, present, and expected operations to identify development opportunities and areas where improvement is needed.
  • Advise management on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies, and actions.
  • Provide direction and assistance to other organizational units regarding accounting and budgeting policies and procedures, and efficient control and utilization of financial resources.
  • Evaluate needs for procurement of funds and investment of surpluses and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Lead staff training and development in budgeting and financial management areas.
  • Receive cash and checks, and deposit funds.
  • Compute, withhold, and account for all payroll deductions.
  • Perform tax planning work.
  • Determine depreciation rates to apply to capitalized items and advise management on actions regarding the purchase, lease, or disposal of such items.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and knowledge of accounting software. Must have the ability to learn job-specific software as required.
  • Ability to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
  • Strong leadership and management abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of organization and multi-tasking skills.
  • Working knowledge of statutory legislation and regulations.
